Beef can boast a high protein content (around 24 g in 100 g). It is rich in iron, zinc and group B vitamins. It should certainly be used for animals that are getting a lot of exercise or on which there are increased demands, e.g. sickness, pregnancy or breast-feeding. Beef has an influence on thermo-regulation, so include it in the winter months.
