D-BARF is produced in a food plant where there are extraordinarily high demands on processing hygiene. In combination with the premium quality of the input ingredients and thanks to the supervision of a development team of experts, we produce an exclusive pet food for optimum nutrition of your pets.

The D-BARF plant is situated close to the Bílé Karpaty Protected Natural Area. The pure countryside encourages us to develop pure products without surplus chemicals and additives. In D-BARF pet food you will find only meat, vegetables, fruit and a supplementary element of vitamins and minerals for a perfectly balanced pet food.

We want to have the whole production process under control, which we can do thanks to the fact that our production facility is in the Czech Republic, specifically in Strážnice.

We attempt to ensure that our production is sustainable and to minimise waste. If we can, we use local suppliers, so that we don’t have to unnecessarily transport ingredients. Part of our range is designed in such a manner that it does not require cooling during transport or storage, which leads to savings and comfort for breeders. We make D-BARF drops from the unused leftovers of premium ingredients, so that we have as little waste as possible. 

We have performed sterilisation using temperature and pressure in special packaging for years in our group for the production of army food - we developed it for the Norwegian army. We had to meet requirements for nutrition, taste, light weight and easy preparation in extreme conditions. We were able to reflect these demands and the experience we gained also in D-BARF pet food. You can therefore treat your dog to nutritious, exclusive dog food at any time on your travels, at any time of year and in any circumstances. 

A number of our products enable easy handling and require non-demanding storage conditions. Treats in the form of snacks or drops are freeze-dried. Long-life complete pet food is sterilised in special packaging with a barrier and you can safely store it at temperatures of up to 25°C. All three types of pet food therefore do not require cooled storage and their shelf life is 24 months. 

Your pets deserve the best care, so parts of our production, such as completion, are done by hand. We create not only jobs in the region, but also exceptional pet food for your four-legged friends with love. 

Broths can help your dog’s joints. Boiling bones, skin and tendons generates natural collagen to help the health of connective tissues, as well as chondroitin and glucosamine sulphate, which have an anti-inflammatory effect.

The fruit and vegetables contained in D-BARF are a source of fibre that helps keep the digestive tract functioning properly. If you have doubts about whether your dog or cat can digest fresh meat, then there is really no need to worry. Pieces of meat force your dog not to gulp its food down and activate the production of digestive enzymes. The different stomach acidity in an environment with a pH of 1-2 then ensures the correct digestion of food. D-BARF does not allow bacteria to reproduce in the digestive tract, as could be the case for pet foods where plant elements are dominant.

For strong muscle mass an animal needs full-value proteins, which also help muscles regenerate after exercise. Tendons and ligaments will not get by without an intake of healthy fats and vitamin D, so there should be no lack of fish in your pet’s diet. So that D-BARF pet food is complete in nutrition terms, we add additional substances to it, such as vitamins and minerals, which ensure the supplementation of all important substances for your pet.

The proteins contained in meat are not only part of enzymes and hormones, but an animal needs them for the optimum functioning of its immune system. There is a lot of vitamin D in fish and it significantly contributes to the organism’s ability to defend itself. It is therefore desirable to rotate meats in a dog’s diet and to use a unique palate of nutrients from individual types of meat.

A benefit of sterilisation is the lack of micro-bacteria, as sterilisation eliminates any pathogens in pet food.

Thanks to the sterilisation process for long-life complete pet foods, pasteurisation for cooled complete foods and freeze-drying for treats, our products do not require any other preservatives that would impair their quality. These technological processes naturally preserve the pet food.

If you want to have beautiful and healthy skin and fur on your pet, its food has to contain fats. By markedly limiting it, you could prevent your pet from getting vitamins that are soluble in fats (A, D, E and K). In addition, fats are a concentrated source of slowly-released energy that dogs need for their growth. In D-BARF pet food, fats are a natural part of meat or we add them to the necessary extent in the form of oils (for example silybum, fish, linseed or sunflower oil).

The same as for people, the completeness of a diet has an effect on an animal’s overall health. Balanced pet food made from carefully selected ingredients contributes to better-quality and longer life for your four-legged companion. Thanks to suitable and full-value pet food, you will very probably reduce the frequency of visits to the veterinarian.      

When feeding dogs and cats with raw food, it is easier to keep teeth clean and a pet is forced to chew, which helps its gums and can stop the bad habit of gulping food down. For a dog and the firmness of teeth, as well as bones, one thing that is important is having an optimum proportion of phosphorous, of which lean meat is a sufficient source, and calcium. In complete D-BARF pet food, offal and egg yolk are added for this reason.
